I used to work in the PR department at KD Schmid in Hanover for over ten years. Artists such as Andris Nelsons, Martin Helmchen, Nicolas Altstaedt and Joseph Moog, who were newcomers at that time, are among those I supported through PR. I started taking piano lessons in primary school. Over the next fourteen years, in addition to the \u2018standard works\u2019 by Bach and Mozart, I also worked my way through Schumann and Debussy, and finally Beethoven's \u2018Path\u00e9tique\u2019 \u2013 a work to which I devoted so much energy that it is now more important to me than any other piece.<\/p><p>From an early age, I wanted to become a classical singer and follow in the footsteps of my grandmother and aunt who were both opera singers. After graduating from school, I took singing lessons for five years. How exciting it was for me in 1986 when the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival was founded very close to where we lived! \nIn grade 5 at school, my fascination for the English language made it clear to me that I would spend a year abroad in England after grade 10. No sooner said than done: in the vicinity of Shakespeare's hometown Stratford-upon-Avon, I attended the Lower Sixth (grade 11) at Trinity Catholic School in Leamington Spa and stayed with a host family in the beautiful English countryside of Warwickshire. It was an invaluable experience that I wouldn't have missed for the world!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3ef5aee Grammar School, I decided to take a different path in the classical music industry while studying musicology and English at Julius-Maximilians-University in Wuerzburg: my desire now was to put myself at the service of artists. \nAfter completing my master's degree on the novels by David Lodge and earning a living as a call centre agent, which was necessary at that time, I moved on to the following In den vierzehn darauffolgenden Jahren erarbeitete ich mir neben den \u201eStandardwerken\u201c von Bach und Mozart, aber auch Schumann und Debussy schlie\u00dflich auch Beethovens \u201ePath\u00e9tique\u201c \u2013 ein Werk, dem ich derma\u00dfen viel Energie gewidmet habe, dass es mir heute so wichtig ist wie kein anderes. Schon fr\u00fch wollte ich klassische S\u00e4ngerin werden und so in die Fu\u00dfstapfen meiner Gro\u00dfmutter beziehungsweise meiner Tante treten. F\u00fcnf Jahre Gesangunterricht folgten nach meinem Schulabschluss. \u2013 Wie aufregend war es f\u00fcr mich 1986, als bei uns ganz in der N\u00e4he das Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival gegr\u00fcndet wurde! In der 5. Klasse bereits stand f\u00fcr mich aufgrund meiner Faszination f\u00fcr die englische Sprache fest: Ich verbringe nach der 10. Klasse ein Auslandsjahr in England! Gesagt, getan: Im Dunstkreis der Shakespeare-Stadt Stratford-upon-Avon besuchte ich die \u201eLower 6th\u201c (11. Jahrgangsstufe) an der Trinity Catholic School in Leamington Spa und wohnte bei einer Gastfamilie inmitten der wundersch\u00f6nen englischen Landschaft von Warwickshire.
